Paxful Alternatives in 2026: P2P Markets and Direct-Buy Options
Paxful has closed, and NoOnes has stopped P2P trading. Compare alternative marketplaces with Finlazo's distinct non-P2P buying route.

On this page
Paxful says it served more than 14 million registered users across over 140 countries before closing its peer-to-peer cryptocurrency marketplace. Its remaining service is limited to eligible account access and withdrawal requests.
Finding a replacement became harder when NoOnes closed its own P2P marketplace on August 21, 2026. NoOnes is therefore not a current Paxful trading alternative, even if older comparison articles still recommend it.
Former Paxful customers have two different choices. They can use another peer-to-peer marketplace or consider a direct cryptocurrency purchase without negotiating with an individual seller.
Finlazo belongs in the second category. It is not a Paxful-style P2P marketplace.
The main Paxful alternatives in 2026
| Platform | Product model | What it may suit | Main condition to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance P2P | Buyer-to-seller P2P listings with escrow | People seeking merchant offers and payment flexibility | Country, currency, listing and account eligibility |
| OKX P2P | P2P marketplace with escrow | People comparing advertiser prices and payment routes | Local policies, verified-account rules and available orders |
| Bybit P2P | P2P trading on web and app | Traders needing identity-verified workflows and order records | Mandatory KYC, available counterparties and payment methods |
| LocalCoinSwap | P2P software and non-custodial escrow arrangements | Buyers who prefer on-chain escrow mechanisms | Counterparty activity, dispute terms and technical responsibilities |
| Finlazo | Direct crypto-buying information and purchase routes; not P2P | Users who do not need to post or accept merchant offers | Current supported country, asset, funding method and executable quote |
This is a product-model comparison, not a live test of orders or a ranking of platform safety. An official help page does not prove that a particular payment method or merchant offer is available to every user today.
1. Binance P2P: a conventional marketplace replacement
Binance describes P2P trading as direct cryptocurrency exchange between users, with platform escrow. Its guide, updated in March 2026, advertises more than 700 payment methods across the wider marketplace.
That resembles a key part of Paxful's original model. The buyer chooses an offer, observes the seller's terms and follows a payment process before the escrowed cryptocurrency is released.
A large advertised payment-method catalogue does not mean 700 methods appear in Kenya, Nigeria or any single market. Nor does it establish that a particular seller has a competitive offer.
For buyers moving from gift cards, mobile money or local bank transfers, check the payment-method filter, order limits and verification requirements before committing.
2. OKX P2P: compare offers without assuming zero total cost
OKX says its P2P service connects buyers and sellers directly, with escrow and no platform P2P service fee. Its FAQ also says users can begin from 1 USDT, subject to the applicable market and offer.
The distinction between a zero platform fee and a zero-cost purchase matters. The seller sets a rate. A payment provider may charge separately. If the purchased cryptocurrency must later be withdrawn, another fee or minimum can apply.
OKX also warns that some supported fiat currencies can be removed after policy or regulatory changes. Check the signed-in offer list, not an older country guide.
3. Bybit P2P: verified accounts and records
Bybit's P2P FAQ, updated July 30, 2026, says individual or business identity verification is required. It also describes downloadable order histories and receipts.
Its platform introduction advertises more than 600 payment methods and more than 370 fiat currencies worldwide. Those are platform-wide promotional figures, not the number of live offers in a particular market.
For a former Paxful merchant, order records and account verification can be useful. They do not replace checking payment receipt, counterparty details or the dispute procedure.
How broad are published payment-method catalogues?
The chart records only the advertised lower bounds in the linked company documentation. It does not measure active offers, supported countries, payment reliability or relative liquidity.
| Category | Value (methods (advertised lower bound)) |
|---|---|
| Binance P2P (700+) | 700 |
| Bybit P2P (600+) | 600 |
700+ and 600+ are company-advertised global lower bounds. Categories may be counted differently and cannot be read as live availability in any country.

The Binance guide and Bybit product description are the source of those figures. No independently measured transaction volume or country-level merchant depth is implied. OKX and LocalCoinSwap are omitted because equivalent, comparably defined figures were not established from the sources reviewed.
4. LocalCoinSwap: a different approach to P2P custody
LocalCoinSwap describes itself in its terms of service as a provider of non-custodial technical infrastructure. The company says its Bitcoin trades use on-chain escrow arrangements and that it does not have unilateral control of the funds.
Its escrow guide describes a sequence in which a seller funds escrow, the buyer makes the agreed fiat payment and the seller releases the cryptocurrency.
This is still P2P trading. A buyer is dealing with another person, not receiving a universal guaranteed rate from the marketplace.
Non-custodial design changes some custody responsibilities. It does not eliminate payment reversals, fraudulent receipts, disputes, wallet errors or loss of recovery information.
5. Finlazo: a non-P2P route for buyers
Some former Paxful customers did not want to operate as merchants. They used P2P simply because it was a way to buy cryptocurrency with a local payment method.
Those readers may prefer reviewing a direct-buy flow such as Finlazo's buy-crypto section.
There is no seller advertisement to choose on Finlazo's direct-buy model. A user should instead assess the available order, asset, total price, account-verification steps and delivery arrangements.
Finlazo is not a replacement for Paxful's merchant marketplace, gift-card negotiations or P2P escrow. This comparison does not establish that every Finlazo service is available in every country, or that a given asset or payment method is currently supported.
For a Kenya-specific starting point, what first-time Bitcoin buyers should check explains how a local payment, purchase quote and received asset can be three different things.
Which alternative matches your original Paxful use?
| You previously used Paxful to… | Product model to examine | What to verify first |
|---|---|---|
| Choose offers from different traders | Binance, OKX or Bybit P2P | Active local listings, price, escrow and seller requirements |
| Advertise your own rates and trade with counterparties | A P2P marketplace that permits eligible merchants | Merchant eligibility, verification, disputes and limits |
| Use non-custodial arrangements | LocalCoinSwap | Wallet responsibilities, escrow method and payment dispute rules |
| Make an occasional cryptocurrency purchase | A direct-buy service such as Finlazo | Executable quote, currency, asset, custody and funding method |
| Retrieve a remaining Paxful balance | Paxful's official withdrawal-only service | Eligibility and the actual withdrawal process—not a new trading platform |
The last row is especially important. Opening a new account elsewhere does not transfer or recover an existing Paxful balance.
Compare the full cost, not the fee headline
A P2P seller's quoted price may already contain a premium. A direct-buy service may quote a conversion rate, processing charge or spread. Another cost may arise when the crypto is transferred to an external wallet.
A sensible comparison uses the same fiat budget, same digital asset and same final destination.
| Cost or condition | P2P purchase | Direct purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Executable crypto price | Advertiser's offer | Checkout quote |
| Platform service charge | Depends on the platform | Depends on the service and route |
| Fiat transfer charge | Depends on buyer's payment method | Depends on accepted checkout method |
| Counterparty dispute | Buyer-seller dispute process | Provider payment or delivery support |
| Withdrawal costs | Depends on the credited asset and network | Depends on custody and delivery arrangement |
| Final comparison | Net crypto reaching the destination | Net crypto reaching the same destination |
Do not compare a P2P exchange-wallet credit with a direct purchase that includes delivery to an external wallet without accounting for that difference.
Kenyan readers can also compare M-Pesa with bank-transfer Bitcoin funding. Payment-rail limits and charges are separate from the crypto purchase price.
Are star ratings useful for choosing a Paxful replacement?
A five-star chart can make comparisons look precise without measuring anything reliable. The sources reviewed establish features and published terms, not audited platform safety, dispute success rates, guaranteed liquidity or customer satisfaction.
For that reason, this article does not invent an overall star ranking. A published escrow feature is not five-star proof that funds are safe. Instead, the tables identify which business model fits each use case and which checks remain necessary.
Before a P2P trade, examine the counterparty's completed-order history, the funded escrow status, the precise fiat recipient and the platform's dispute rules.
Before a direct purchase, confirm the total executable quote and what asset reaches what destination.
Why NoOnes and LocalBitcoins are not current replacements
NoOnes' official wind-down notice confirms that its P2P marketplace stopped accepting trades in August 2026. Its remaining services are not equivalent to a continuing marketplace.
Finlazo also documents what happened to NoOnes and why LocalBitcoins closed.
An older "best Paxful alternatives" article may predate these closures. Check the operator's current service notice rather than relying on a historical comparison table.
The wider Finlazo exchange-closures tracker separates trading shutdowns, withdrawals and subsequent claims so those events are not mistaken for each other.
What if you still have money on Paxful?
According to Paxful's withdrawal service, buying, selling and trading have ended. Eligible users may still request withdrawal of existing balances, subject to account checks and restrictions. Monthly maintenance fees may apply in some cases.
A new P2P account does not bypass those requirements. Use the operator's official withdrawal instructions and check the intended destination before submitting a transfer.
Read Finlazo's report on Paxful's closure and withdrawal conditions for the relevant timeline.
A decision based on what you need
Binance P2P, OKX P2P, Bybit P2P and LocalCoinSwap are different ways to seek direct trades with counterparties. Their payment methods, country restrictions and available merchants change.
Finlazo is relevant for people who want to explore a purchase without entering a P2P offer marketplace.
The right question is not which company inherited Paxful's users. It is whether the service you choose supports your intended transaction, with a price and withdrawal arrangement you understand.
