Lykke Corp UK Limited entered compulsory liquidation on 26 March 2025, following a June 2024 crypto theft that the UK’s sanctions authority estimates at about $19.5 million. Former customers now face a creditor claims process rather than an ordinary exchange withdrawal.

The winding-up order recorded in The Gazette identifies the UK company by registration number 10093552. Its status remains liquidation on Companies House, checked on 16 October 2026.

The case appears in Finlazo’s closed crypto exchanges tracker. It shows why a security incident, a trading suspension and a court-ordered liquidation should be recorded as separate events.

What happened to Lykke Corp UK?

The official record establishes two important facts. Lykke suffered a substantial crypto theft in June 2024. The UK company subsequently became subject to a winding-up order in March 2025.

In its July 2025 cryptoassets threat assessment, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation, or OFSI, describes losses of approximately $19.5 million. It attributes the attack to malicious North Korean cyberactors and says assets were stolen on the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks.

OFSI’s assessment also describes stolen Bitcoin moving to Ethereum through THORChain before reaching an exchange without know-your-customer checks. That is the authority’s account of the theft and laundering route. It is not a finding that every Lykke employee or customer participated in wrongdoing.

The liquidation record is a separate source. It establishes the legal proceeding against Lykke Corp UK Limited, without providing a complete explanation of every financial or operational decision that preceded it. The hack is important context; its estimated value alone does not establish the company’s entire shortfall.

Which Lykke company is in liquidation?

This article concerns Lykke Corp UK Limited, company number 10093552. Companies House records its incorporation on 31 March 2016 and its current liquidation status.

An exchange brand and a legal company are not interchangeable. Before submitting a claim, check the company named in your account agreement, statements and relevant correspondence. Do not assume that a proceeding against one entity automatically covers every business using a similar name.

If your records identify a different entity, ask the officeholders whether the UK proceeding is the correct route. Keep the original contract and account history available so that the answer can be checked against documents rather than a logo or website address.

How can former customers register a claim?

Interpath’s case page for Lykke Corp UK directs people owed money at the appointment date to complete a proof of debt form. It asks for the completed form and supporting documentation by email to the case contact or by post to the address shown there. The listed email is lykkeukportal@interpath.com.

Start from that official page to obtain the form and verify the contact details. The linked proof of debt template asks for the creditor’s identity, claim amount, how the debt arose and evidence supporting it. It also asks about security and interest where relevant.

For a crypto account, organise your records before completing the form. Keep the asset quantities and transaction dates alongside any fiat values. If the valuation date, exchange rate or treatment of a particular asset is unclear, ask the case team how to present it.

Record to retainWhy it may help explain your claim
Account statements or exportsShow the recorded holdings and transaction history.
Deposit transaction referencesConnect a blockchain transfer with the account you used.
Bank transfer confirmationsSupport the origin and amount of fiat payments.
Account terms and contracting entityHelp identify which company your claim concerns.
Withdrawal requests and correspondenceDocument attempts to retrieve assets and replies received.
Previous claim acknowledgementHelp the case team locate an existing submission.

This is a preparation checklist, not a substitute for the liquidators’ instructions. Submission, acknowledgement and acceptance of a claim are different steps. Keep copies of what you send and any reference you receive.

Will Lykke customers get all their money back?

The sources reviewed for this article do not establish a guaranteed recovery percentage or payment date for an individual customer. A theft estimate is not a creditor dividend forecast.

The Insolvency Service’s creditor guidance explains that recoveries depend on assets available, costs and the order in which claims are paid. Where full repayment is impossible, creditors may receive a proportion of their accepted claims. If there are no assets, there may be no payment.

For this case, use the officeholders’ reports and notices to check any distribution proposal, proof deadline or request for further evidence. A deadline in an old petition notice is not necessarily the deadline for submitting a customer claim today.

Avoid turning a claim into another loss

Verify any new payment or document request against the official case page before acting. An unsolicited message promising immediate recovery in exchange for a crypto “release fee” should not be treated as an instruction from the liquidators.

Keep wallet seed phrases and private keys out of claim submissions. Those credentials control assets; they are different from statements or transaction references used to explain a debt. Do not make a new deposit to an old exchange address to test whether the service has resumed.

What to check before buying crypto elsewhere

A new provider cannot resolve your Lykke claim simply by opening another account. Treat recovery of an old balance and a new purchase as separate decisions.

Before moving money, check the contracting entity, country availability, supported payment method, total quoted cost and withdrawal conditions. Confirm that a receiving wallet supports the exact asset and network you intend to use.

Finlazo’s Buy Crypto page lets you explore assets and buying options. Review the quote and the services available to your account before committing funds. Finlazo does not administer Lykke’s liquidation or release assets from it.
